Routine Maintenance

My 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GT (center) waits in queue for a new battery and oil change at the local Walmart in Kalamazoo
As with all used cars you buy, there is always a couple things you will have to replace right away. Last September I stumbled upon a deal, a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GT fully loaded and in excellent condition, even when you factor in the high mileage. With the brutal winter this season, the battery on the Grand Prix has been struggling to keep a charge, dying if not used in 24 hours.
Today I took advantage of some time I had to go get the battery replaced at the local walmart, along with an oil change since it was due on 300 miles. Normally I replace the battery on my own, but walmart was cheaper than autozone and offered free installation, only charging me $2.00 for an extra. Plus, why freeze in the cold and mess around when someone else is going to include labor in the price of the product?
